Glasses
Dakang is a theme park created for the Dakang Community in Shenzhen. The park celebrates the local eyeglasses making industry through a colorful design based on eyeglass patterns. Interactive screens, curved mirrors and benches in varied shapes invite relaxation, play and photography for visitors of all ages. The installation is made of stainless steel, LED electronic screens and printed light boxes, and measures 24000 by 400 by 3500 millimeters. A long damaged building wall beside the park was repaired to harmonize with the surroundings.
Glasses Theme Park by Be Genius Design was highlighted as an innovative representation of communication design by the A' Design Award. Glasses Theme Park was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Advertising, Marketing and Communication Design in 2024. The A' Advertising, Marketing and Communication Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design competition that celebrates excellent design of advertisement campaigns, billboards, commercials, print ads, social media campaigns, direct mails, radio spots, email marketing, outdoor advertising and more.
