The autorefractor Plusoptix A20 empowers eye care professionals to detect vision disorders for patients starting from an age of 5 months. The unique specialty: measuring the refractive state of both eyes at the same time from a distance of 1 meter and within seconds. The clear and reduced design strives for safety, ergonomics, intuitive operation, and reliability. Plusoptix autorefractors have no moving parts, and therefore no physical wear and tear.
PlusoptiX A20 Binocular Autorefractor by Wolfgang Pelzel was selected as an innovative example of industrial design by the A' Design Awards. PlusoptiX A20 Binocular Autorefractor was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Medical Devices and Medical Equipment Design in 2024. The A' Medical Devices and Medical Equipment Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design recognition program which celebrates outstanding design of stethoscopes, wheelchairs, defibrillators, MRI machines, surgical instruments, prosthetics, ultrasound devices, pacemakers and more.
