Fashion Launderette
Fashion Launderette is a set of themed installation spaces created for a fashion trade fair in Hong Kong. The design covers three areas: a welcome installation in the main foyer, an entrance treatment for the exhibition hall and a 350 square metre multifunctional space for fashion shows, seminars and receptions. The theme is inspired by 1980s laundromat interiors. Decorative walls are built with reusable aluminium systems clad in vinyl graphics, and printed plywood forms the washing machine facades. The colours follow the seasonal fashion trend forecast.
Fashion Launderette Installation Space by Hong Kong Trade Development Council was recognized as a grand representation of service design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Fashion Launderette Installation Space received the Bronze A' Design Award in Event and Happening Design in 2020. The A' Event and Happening Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design competition which honors superior design of trade fairs, award ceremonies, festivals, conferences, exhibitions, concerts, product launches, charity events and more.
