CST
CST Platform is a circular stapler designed for digestive surgery. Circular staplers join tissue and restore the continuity of the alimentary canal after part of an organ is removed. The internal supporting structure of the housing was removed to create a barrier-free head, which reduces staple malformation caused by the piston effect. The enlarged tubular casing allows more tissue to be resected in a single step. An automatic safety lock engages only when the instrument is ready to fire, and a clear bell tone confirms that firing is complete.
CST Circular Stapler by TOUCHSTONE has been highlighted as a grand example of industrial design by the A' Design Awards. CST Circular Stapler earned the Iron A' Design Award in Medical Devices and Medical Equipment Design in 2020.
